‘The Wood Reclaimer’, a conservation collective, who provide a combination of wood collection, recycling and up cycling services, being a potential future business that I worked on for a family member. The client wanted to stand out from existing wood recycling and reclaiming businesses through a new brand identity that can be used on social media, business cards, flyers and as a stamp on products.
I looked into the existing market that ‘The Wood Reclaimer’ operated in, it was a real creative eye opener, realising that the visual identity’s for these existing schemes were DIY attempts and had recurring tendencies of arrows and wood grain, which I quite liked and I wanted to in ‘Wood Reclaimer’ fashion, repurpose them.
To make ‘The Wood Reclaimer’ stand out within their market, I told the story of business and the process ‘The Wood Reclaimer’ goes through using a collection of icons in playful arrangements. Understanding that ‘The Wood Reclaimer’ needed to grab the attention of customers instantly through their flyers, I used a minimalist and modernist approach to stand out from the day to day flyers people get through their doors.
